GAP47, an amateur astronomers club created in 1983, welcomes you every Friday evening (at 9 p.m. without reservation from September to June and at 8:30 p.m. by reservation in July and August), at the Fumélois Astronomical Observatory.
On the program: naked-eye celestial tours, discovery of constellations (with laser guidance), observation with instruments (including two 500 and 300 mm diameter telescopes under domes), exploration of the sky and its mechanics thanks to our digital planetarium.
Exceptional entertainment during notable events and during Astronomy Nights in summer.
Groups welcome (package for 10 people minimum) by appointment.
Possible activities during the day and/or in the evening by reservation for schools, families, associations, leisure centers, etc. (observation of the Sun, solar system hike, planetarium).
Open all year round, Friday evenings:
- at 9:00 pm without reservation, from September to the end of June.
- at 8:30 pm by reservation in July and August.
Possible opening (morning and/or afternoon and/or evening) for private groups by reservation.
Possible opening (morning and/or afternoon and/or evening) for school groups/leisure centers by reservation and quote.
Sessions in English possible (by reservation).
Free and open access to our model of the solar system on a scale of 1/3 billionth (13 illustrated panels) via a 2.5 km walk along the GR652 which starts from the observatory.
